Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we performed automatic extraction of corpus callosum from midsagital of MRI. The possibility of objective diagnosis of Alzheimer-type dementia was examined using the shape factor and run length matrix. The object was 55 individuals who consulted the Kawase Neurology Clinic. A result of concordance rate was 86.5 + 6.8%. The features of shape factor and run length matrix computed for the corpus callosum. The significant difference was accepted in all features. The results of discriminant analysis was sensitivity of 85.2% and specificity of 82.1%, with overall accuracy of 83.6%. These results indicate that quantitative objective diagnostic technique for Alzheimer-type dementia.
