Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The characteristic of a pulse wave allows us to monitor the heart rate and the respiratory information. The signal can be observed also in a place which is far from lungs such as the fingertip. In this study, we have developed an equipment to measure the pulse wave using optical sensor. By using this equipment, we can measure the pulse wave in the any location of the body surface. During the experiment, the pulse waves at many points of the body were measured simultaneously and the result was analyzed to figure out the mechanism of how they were transmitted. As a result, we could identify the places of which the respiratory information were measured easily, and those which .were not. Moreover, the phase-differences between the points of each measurement indicated a possibility that the respiratory information was transmitted to the whole body, through the pulse-wave.
