Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical imaging of biological tissue has been difficult due to strong scattering. To realize the imaging with near-axis scattered light, we have applied the scattering-angle differential technique and the time-resolved measurement technique to the quantitative CT imaging in a turbid medium. We used a model phantom which contained a cylindrical structure with a coaxial absorption layer. CT images were reconstructed with the proposed technique and compared with those obtained with the conventional collimation technique. The spatial resolution and the accuracy of absorption were improved significantly, and the effectiveness of the proposed technique has been verified.
