Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper is devoted to a study on modified feeding structure for a polarization controlled patch antenna using a branch structure. The structure was proposed in a previous paper, where it was reported that vertical or horizontal linear polarization can be chosen with cross-polarization discrimination(XPD) of 19dB. By modifying the distance between the coupling slot and the diverging point on the branch structure to be half-wavelength, the cross-polarization level at boresight was improved by almost 5dB in the experiment.
