Abstract(in English) | In this study, a measurement method to evaluate low-loss dielectric materials in millimeter-wave region using a Whispering-Gallery mode in a spherical dielectric resonator is investigated. We can obtain precisely a measuring formula for the complex permittivity, because the spherical dielectric resonator can be analyzed rigorously. A PTFE spherical sample is measured in a wide frequency band of 50 to 110 GHz. As a result, it is found that the presented method is available to evaluate the millimeter wave permittivities. |
