Abstract(in English) The purpose of this paper is to investigate feasibility to use cavity-backed slot antenna elements as antenna element for circular polarized antenna array operating at the frequency of 5.8 GHz. They are used as an element of the microwave energy transmission antenna system in the space solar power satellite (SSPS) recently discussed in Japan. Our previous works were related to the antenna parameters of the elements operating at the frequency of 5.8 GHz . First we determine geometries and dimension of the antenna satisfying the system demands, Next we propose cavity-backed slot antenna element fed by open probe as the element for circular polarized array antenna.
