Abstract(in English) It is necessary to know the effective permittivity and permeability of an artificial material, when one tries to utilize it for microwave resonators. We proposed a new simple method to calculate them by use of a commercial software. The present purpose is to improve the calculation method. We have made the material of printed circuit boards and measured the permittivity. As a result, the experimental and calculated values agreed well. Loss was also investigated.
