Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Radio wave propagation over a mixed-path, such as a land-sea path, is numerically analyzed by two methods. The first method employs planar impedance plane model. The mode conversion at the interface between land and sea is analyzed by applying the modal matching technique. The another method is the finite-difference time-domain method. Results for the surface wave incidence are obtained by the methods and are found to be in good agreement. The relationships between the recovery effect and mode amplitudes are discussed. A result for wave incidence from dipole antenna is shown to be similar to the experimental result.
