Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A unicast videoconference system is usually used for an IP network-based Web conference. This means sessions must be established at the server depending on the number of the terminals, which requires considerable transmission bands. On the other hand, only one session is needed for a multicast videoconference. In this paper, we have made a comparison between unicast and multicast through the interactive communication experiments, and have proved the advantages of multicast communications.
