Development of Video Scene Filtering Method for Tele-lecture Video

Abstract(in English) The lecture video is often provided to learners as a kind of e-learning material through the Internet. Proper indexing for the video also is required to view a specific topic of learning. This paper describes a summarizing procedure for lecture video to extract scenes by using video scene detection and face detection techniques. As a result, major scenes were extracted from 90 minutes lecture video by appropriate threshold for video level differece. Face detection was conducted to the extracted images, the images of presentation patterns were selected as key scenes.
