Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By spread and development of a PDA (personal digital assistant) in recent years, they became familiar to us. In connection with it, a student can access the Internet now always anywhere and the form of new study by the Internet and the PDA has also appeared. This paper describes a computer-assisted language learning (CALL) in a ubiquitous computing environment. The environment, called TANGO (Tag Added learNinG Objects) system, detects the objects around the learner using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags, and provides the learner the right information for language learning. This system supports learning in daily life with PDA beyond desk-top computers based education. In the experiment, the learner played the game of TANGO, and was very interested in this system.
