Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Web resources are more attractive than conventional educational material such as textbooks, CD-ROM, and VTR because they continue to grow and can provide the latest information. However, they are not completely suitable for educational use, since they do not come with a guarantee of quality and are not well-organized for learning. To remedy these problems, wc developed WebAngel. Acting as a proxy server, WebAngel can i) filter and block URLs which are not permitted by teachers, ii) reorganize hyperlink structures, iii) provide additional context through annotation. Using WebAngel, teachers can show the reorganized Web to students and students can learn more easily from the Web. This report presents the mechanism of WebAngel to support learning experiences on the Web and extends the educational possibilities of Internet usage.
