| Abstract(in English) | We have developed an illuminating LED device with microcontroller as a learning material for introductory learning of information education. The light device has eight LEDs (4 yellow, 2 red, and 2 green LEDs). Brightness of the LEDs can be changeable by program of the microcontroller. Illuminating light pattern using the LEDs can be designed by a programming environment especially constructed for children. We have carried out lessons of information education using the light device in classes of elementary school and workshops of science museum, and so on. In the lessons, school children made programs of light pattern and cover of the LED light in order to make an ornamental light. They made easily programs of illumination light, and enjoyed making original ornamental lights. Moreover, the lessons of making original decorative light using the device is more creative than traditional handicrafts of light using color cellophane. |
