Abstract(in English) The purpose of writing this paper is to present the development of the support systems for the students with disabilities in higher education institutions in U.S.A. I would like to introduce how this system has been successfully promoted in accordance with the reform of disability laws, and to consider how the advancement of information & communication technologies can further opportunities for disabled students in higher educational settings. As a conclusion, I would like to make some comments on how Japan can develop our systems on its way from learning the U.S. cases.
