| Abstract(in English) | A web based word-training system for language therapy of aphasic patients has been developed. This word-training system is intended for the self-training of aphasic patients undergoing language therapy. This system is installed on a World Wide Web (WWW) server and allows a patient to train at home as often as he or her wishes without the aid of a speech therapist, thereby reducing the number of hospital visits. Additionally, this system gives speech therapists time to perform more sophisticated therapy at the hospital. The web based word-training system has been available to aphasic patients and speech therapists on an experimental basis. The web based word-training program has had about 200hits.Improvements to the word-training system based on user comments are currently in progress. |
