Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent advanced information technology encourages us to express and deliver many kinds of information as digital contents on the Internet. The information technology is applied to almost all fields such as industry, manufacturing, education, culture and others. In this paper, the authors propose the technique for preservation and succession of traditional performing arts, some of which are intangible cultural asset. In our research, the form of the traditional performing arts is subdivided into several factors like dancing actions, melodies, the words of a song, a look and so on. The divided elements of the arts are assembled into a multimedia content on movies, sounds, 3D-animation and so on. Fortunately, the multimedia contents work well to display the complicate performing arts in a clear and simple method. Our technical method should contribute to the preservation and succession of the traditional performing arts. In the paper. the authors discuss "OWARI MANZAI; a comical dialogue (an intangible cultural asset in Japan)" as a case study.
