Abstract(in English) The ease of introduction and management of NAS (Network Attached Storage) units has led to their recent extensive use. The convenience of a NAS system tends to decrease gradually, however, as the number of NAS units in it increases. This paper proposes a CIFS Server visualization method which requires no proprietary software for clients or NAS units. The method is implemented as an in-band network appliance "NAS Switch" between clients and NAS units, and it provides users and administrators with a single virtual NAS system that incorporates all their units. It is confirmed by evaluation with Linux prototype that the use of this method makes a bottleneck of system and creates little overhead.
