Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We clarify that large electromagnetic wave absorption occurs at discrete frequencies in the composite material in which two low loss construction materials are layered periodically. In our report, we show that the absorption can be observed for TE polarization as well as TM polarization by means of FDTD calculation, and derive characteristic equations to determine absorbing peak frequencies for both polarization by the use of analytical approach based on our interpretation of the absorption. And we give consideration to the equivalent dielectric constant of the composite material in the view of electrostatic energy. Moreover the effective dielectric constant method (EDC method) is adopted to determine the absorbing peak frequencies of the composite material with higher accuracy.
