Radiation characteristics of a transmission line with a side plate

Abstract(in English) The purpose of this paper is the reduction of the radiation from a transmission line. A transmission line with a side plate is proposed as a structure for reducing the radiation from a finite transmission line. Radiated power is derived analytically by the integration of radiated field of traveling wave current on the transmission line. Also, an experiment is carried out. Experimental results are compared and examined with theoretical results, and the validity of this paper is clarified.
