Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new near-to-far-field transformation for two-dimensional FDTD method is presented. In this paper, the cylindrical function is applied to the near-to-far-field transformation. One first uses the FDTD method to analyze near scattering fields within rectangular lattice space. Then, the boundary condition is satisfied on a virtual surface which is the circle enclosing the objects. The scattered field is expressed by using a series of the Hankel functions with unknown expansion coefficients to be determined from the boundary condition. Using asymptotic expansion of Hankel function, the far-field data can be obtained. In order to verify this method, scattering patterns from this transformation are compared with exact solution. Numerical results show that errors in the far-field data from this method are less than conventional method (surface equivalence theorem).
