Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to solve problems which a spherical dipole antenna within pin-PD and amplifier has short continuous operation time such as several hour, optical feeding spherical dipole antenna within UTC-PD was proposed. Relation between input optical power and output electrical power for UTC-PD is measured, and it is clear that high output electrical power of -9dBm is obtained for input optical power of about 10dBm. Moreover, the power supply used for bias impression is one single dry cell, and the continuous operation time is also a satisfactory range on operation of about 700 hours. When connecting this UTC-PD to a monopole antenna, radiated electric field of 74.0dBμV/m from the monopole antenna on the frequency of 2GHz was calculated by using NEC.
