A Novel Structure of Error Feedback in 2-D Separable-Denominator Digital Filters

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider a new error feedback structure for two-dimensional separable-denominator digital filters in order to reduce the roundoff noise. In implementing two-dimensional separable-denominator digital filters, the minimum delay elements structures are common. In this paper, we propose a filter structure with more delay elements. In the proposed structure, the filter feedback-loop corresponding to denominator polynomial is placed at a different location compared to the commonly used structures. This structure has two quantizers, so we add two error feedback network for each quantizers. The proposed structure has two good points witch are (1) to be able to minimize the roundoff noise by one dimensional error feedback network, (2) the noise variance do not rely on filter gain. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed technique.
