| 抄録(和) | IEEE802.6で標準化が行われたMAN方式である,双方向分散待ち行列(以下、DQDB:Dual Queue Dual bus)方式は,バスの両端に近いノードほど過負荷時には高いスループットを得るという不公平性を有する.この不公平性を緩和するためにBWB(Bandwidth Balancing)機構を導入して改善することが提案されているが,これはスループットの低下を伴う.他の方法としては,ノードにバッファを設けて送信セグメント(送信においてはスロットと呼ぶ)を蓄え,それらに関するリクエスト信号を先行送信することにより,スループットを犠牲にせずに不公平性の緩和が可能なだけでなく,特定ノードを優遇することも可能なバッファDQDBがある.また,バッファDQDBは通常のDQDB同様,デイジーチェイン接続で機器の増設が図れるだけでなく,公平性と優先制御が容易であることから,MANよりもむしろ展示会場のブースや,一般家庭の部屋を単位とした狭領域サブネットワークを幹線ネットワークで接続し,機器の増設や切り離しの影響をブースや部屋内にとどめ,優先帯域割り当てなどの端末の要求に応えられる階層ネットワークヘの適用が考えられる.このような階層ネットワークでは,幹線ネットワークとサブネットワークの接続点にブリッジを設けるが,ブリッジのバッファがオーバーフローすると,データの廃棄という問題が生じる.本稿では,バッファDQDBの特徴を述べ,さらにバッファを受信スロットの遅延に用いて遅延特性を改善できるバッファ挿入型DQDBについて述べる。また,バッファDQDBを用いたサブネットワークをブリッジネットワークで結合する階層ネットワークを考え、そこにループバック再送方式を導入してスロットの廃棄を完全に抑制できることを示す. |
| 抄録(英) | DQDB (Distributed Queue Dual Bus) is a MAN standardized by IEEE 802.6. It is known that DQDB has location dependent unfairness in terms of throughput at heavy load. Though the BWB (BandWidth Balancing) technique is known to be effective in order to improve the fairness, it decreases the throughput. We show that a buffered DQDB gives not only fair but also prioritized bandwidth allocation. In addition, as the DQDB connects the nodes by daisy chain, it is suitable for the network at exhibition or home where it is desirable that the nodes can be added or removed easily. It is required that the addition or removal of nodes in the subnetwork does not disturb the transmission in or between another subnetworks. For this end the DQDB has exellent characteristics. Considering this characteristics we give a layered network composed of a global bridge network and subnetworks based on buffered DQDB. The bridge has a loopback retransmission mechanism for bridge network and subnetworks. The loopback technique makes it possible to remove slot discardings both in bridge network and subnetworks due to buffer overflow at the bridge. |
