Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Yamada et al. proposed an efficient decoding method for high-rate convolutional codes which uses a code trellis constructed based on a corresponding syndrome former. A similar approach was also proposed by Sidorenko and Zyablov. In this paper, based on their ideas, we show that a syndrome trellis (i.e., error trellis) originally proposed by Schalkwijk et al. can be modified to give an equivalent trellis whose complexity is significantly reduced compared to that of the original trellis for high-rate codes. |
