Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we describe burstiness caused by VBR traffic by using a notion of the Allan variance of link utilization. Using useful properties obtained from the Allan variance, we show a realtime CLR evaluation algorithm for VBR, based on PCR, SCR, MBS, and the capacity of a cell buffer. The most remarkable characteristics of this algorithm are that it terminates within sub-milliseconds and that its time is independent of both the number of VCs and the capacity of a cell buffer. These characteristrics are necessary for Connection Admission Control (CAC) application. |
