| Abstract(in English) | This paper describes an overview of reliability and QoS control for Metro Area Ethernet services. As a reliability control, link failure detection, link redundancy, node redundancy, ethernet-frame loop prevention, load balancing, non-stop reconfiguration schemes are explained and issues of currently available schemes are discussed. To solve these issues Global Open Ethernet (GOE) scheme that we proposed is explained. In addition, as a QoS control, bandwidth guarantee, priority control, fairness schemes are then described. An IEEE802 standardization status and a current deployment status of Metro Area Ethernet services are also discussed to conclude. |
