Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent development of transmission schemes for optical wireless communications shows strong tendency of two limiting cases of either multiple electrical subcarriers or optical wavelength divisionary modulations. Those transmission techniques are still subjects of challenging research to overcome their own drawbacks. However, this paper is focused on estimation of divergent complex optical IQ diversity transmission scheme when initial composite RF signal is divided onto two independent optical channels of Q (quadrature) and I (in-phase) components for further transmission keeping the same distortion factors for both. Thus, generated channel of the scheme includes several of electric and photonic carriers simultaneously. Due to computation of normalized bandwidth and power requirements it can be seen that IQ diversity transmission demonstrating similar benefits to pure optical modulations performs better than conventional ones.
