Network-wide low layer circuits for IP communications

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an alternative of the next generation network in which all communications are connection-oriented, and which can be called an expressway of the Internet. A new type of intelligent network interface card is provided in every terminal, which contains information on connection between the source and the destination. This allows 1 -hop IP communications. Packet origination in the network can be traced based on the connections. Packet transfer can become fast. The cost of the connection-oriented node can be cost-effective due to the network-wide function sharing.
