Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Ethernet network is widely spread and adopted to the access portion or metro area for the reason of its economical advantage. We have been studying the interworking function of TDM and Ethernet, and reported the encapsulation method of TDM signals and OAM mechanisms that are applied for circuit emulation termination equipment accommodating STM signals over Ethernet. In order for the higher reliability, the protection function needs to be applied to carrier networks. This paper reports the consideration of requirements and mechanism of protection function for circuit emulation system accommodating STM signals over Ethernet.
