Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Realtime contents service needs to have a transmission method which can repair quickly packet losses caused by network traffic congestion. Hybrid FEC/ARQ which is a mixture of ARQ and FEC might be promising to realize realtime content delivery with an efficient use of bandwidth. In this paper we analyze the stochastic behavior of Hybrid FEC/ARQ, and derive the probability of successfully receiving all the packets of each frame and probability distribution of the number of packets transmitted as performance measures. Through numerical results, we find some interesting relationship among performance measures.
