Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the mobile communication environment is widely spread. In such an environment, it is pointed that the packet losses caused by transmission errors in wireless links and hand off during terminal moving degrade the TCP communication throughput. There are a lot of researches for this problem, but most of them focus on the packet losses caused by transmission errors, and those for hand off do not take account of the coordination with Mobile IP procedures. In this paper, we propose a high speed TCP communication procedure dealing with hand off related packet losses for data transfer from fixed hosts to mobile terminals associated Mobile IP that is basic protocol in mobile internet environment. And we show results estimated by software simulator. This paper describes the detail of our simulation results.
