Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hierarchical Mobile IP (HMIP) has been proposed for efficient location registration in Mobile IP. In HMIP, hierarchical network structures fix the local location control domain. Under the ubiquitous environment where the network is very complicated, Mobile Nodes (MN) often step over the domains, and so location registration traffics are extremely increased. In this paper, to solve the HMIP problem, we propose a new mobility management method "Adaptive HMIP", which set the local location control domains and local location control nodes freely considering both geographical topology and network topology in accordance with MNs' characteristics.
