| 抄録(和) | 「ワイヤレス=携帯電話」と呼んでも過言ではないくらい携帯電話の普及には目を見張るものがある.今後はさまざまなモノに無線インタフェースが貼り付けられ,すべてのモノがネットワーク接続されることになろう.このようなIP over Everything時代に,ワイヤレスの有する意義が今まで以上に高くなることは想像に難くない.本講演では,来るべきユビキタス時代に向け,モバイルネットワークの展開シナリオとして,「どこでも無線LAN」,「シームレス無線ネットワーク」,「サービス/デバイス連携」,「実空間との融合」の4つのステップを示し,それぞれの技術課題を示す.あわせて,我々が進めているいくつかのアプローチを紹介する. |
| 抄録(英) | The proliferation of mobile phones and wireless technologies manifests the visions of future networks where every object will be connected to the Internet. Mobile computing and ubiquitous computing promises a computing infrastructure that seamlessly and ubiquitously aids users in accomplishing their tasks and that renders the actual computing devices and technology largely invisible. In this presentation, we clarify four steps towards realizing mobile networks, i.e., "wireless LANs anywhere", "cross-network services", "cooperative network services", "context-aware mobile services", and present technical challenges and opportunities. In addition, we present our STONE project and MIRAI project which are performed at the University of Tokyo and Communication Research Laboratory, respectively, to investigate future mobile internetworking technologies. |
