Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Bluetooth system, multipath fading and/or inter-system interference cause the fluctuation of channel condition, and they are considerd to be one of the major reasons of the degradation of throughput performance. In this paper, an Adaptive Packet Transmission scheme is proposed as a method to improve the throughput performance under multipath fading and/or inter-system interference channels. In this scheme, short-term channel condition is estimated, and the optimum length and error correction code of transmitted packets are selected on a packet-by-packet basis. We compare the throughput performance of proposed scheme with that of conventional scheme and confirm that the proposed scheme lowers the degradation of throughput performance under fading and/or inter-system interferece channels.
