Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method of bandwidth dimensioning and management using flow statistics. Authors have studied the method of IP traffic management where the TCP performance at a bottleneck link is estimated from monitored data on the behavior of the number of active flows versus utilization of the link. In this paper, we propose a method of estimating the link utilization beyond which TCP performance starts to degrade and dimensioning bandwidth needed to maintain TCP performance. We also evaluated the method through simulation analysis.
