Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are investigating an optical packet router using electronic edge routers as shared buffers. This router handles variable-length packets in optical domain. Packet sequence error may happen because the delay time of buffered packets and unbuffered packets are different. So, low loss rate and low sequence error rate are required. In this paper we propose two method, edge traffic control according to the output line state and bandwidth sharing among bufferd packets and egress packets to edge. We show that the packet sequence error rate is improved very well by the proposed methods.
