Dynamic Path Capacity Control Based on Measured Bandwidth Utilization

Abstract(in English) Path capacity allocation schemes based on the switch buffer queue length in the control node for variable rate services have been widely studied. This paper proposes an enhanced dynamic path capacity control method jointly using measured bandwidth utilization. The step size in the path capacity allocation process is adjusted dynamically taking account of instantaneous bandwidth utilization factor. The authors have shown the desired system parameters and evaluated the performance via traffic simulation.
