Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the various Internet services, many ways of personal information management have been developed. However, there are many problems, such as the compatibility of database and operating system, when this type of information is exchanged among the systems. Then, we propose the new distributed data management architecture cooperated with XML document and XML database. The combination of XML documents and XMLDB gives a best solution for the integration of the Web appliation service and database service. XML has been widely used and is easy for exchanging the data among the systems in the enterprises and any organizations. Then we constructed the groupware scheduling proto type system based on the proposed new concept and measured the performance of retrieval and access characteristics. We estimated and confirmed the features of a new architecture and data management system.
