Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As next generation mobile communication network following IMT-2000, we have proposed IP^2 (IP-based IMT Network Platform) architecture. It separates various and intelligent network controls, which we call network control platform (NCPF), including mobility management (MM) functions, and transport network, which we call LP-backbone or IP-BB. In order to support the MM functions of the NCPF appropriately, it is very important to supply useful information from IP-BB. In this article, we first describe necessity and importance of the information provisioning from IP-BB to NCPF. Next, we propose two mechanisms to implement routing information provisioning. Then, we conduct qualitative comparison between the two.
