Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When using desktop video communication media, users'have to simultaneously handle many tasks, such as typing own documents and talking to others through video chat windows. This paper proposes a new approach to support such switching. Regular desktop window systems display and arrange the windows holding the user's own documents or the windows for communication on the computer screen according to the user's preferences. In the proposed system, the windows for external contents like communication sessions are arranged according not only to the user's own preference but also to the preferences of the partner. Three display methods are designed and examined.
