Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When interactive digital TV programs such as quiz or auction are provided, stress of a server at the TV station is increased by simultaneously produced responses. In this paper we discuss reduction methods of the server stress at the TV station, when the response data are sent via the Internet. Firstly we consider data transmission by using UDP/IP, and discuss functions of middle layer protocols. Next we discuss data transmission by using TCP/IP for reliable communication and propose a technique to reduce the server stress. The availability of the reduction technique is verified by experimental results.
