Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) CDN is regarded as a key component in digital content business, which attracts more and more attention and high expectation in accordance to increasing availability of broadband access network. CDN, however, has been playing limited roles so far in spite of the high expectation. This stagnation is often attributed to the barriers to digital content business which are of social custom nature, but technology is also much responsible to the pause. This talk first explains CDN basics, then points out issues receiving not enough consideration in practical systems. Examples of systems integrating consideration to the issues are presented next. This talk concludes with a bird-eye view on where CDN is heading to and how it will reach there.
