Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper is concerned with a service system in which demands of customers arriving via web are processed by a legacy (computer) system. This system is called a "front-end web system (FeWS)". We consider the problem of finding an effective model for the design issues of FeWS. The approach is to extend the insensitivity of queuing models to the FeWSs. First we show that two simple FeWSs are featured by the property. Several numerical examples are presented in order to demonstrate that the property is extended to more general FeWSs. This suggests that a simple model, called "a random model", can be used for the issues of FeWSs.
