Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a novel network management support system (NMS) based on active information re- source (AIR). In the proposed system, called AIR-NMS, the empirical knowledge and status information required for network management are made as agents. By coordinating with each other and organizing themselves autonomously, the agents support the network management procedures actively, which are usually charged to the network administrator. In this article, we explain the structures of the agents (i.e., "AIR-ized" knowledge and information) and their coordinating/organizing mechanism in AIR-NMS, and discuss the functions of an experimental system.
