Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Research on machine translation has been focusing on increasing the quality of translation so that users can understand documents written in different languages. However, there still exists a limitation of the quality, and we cannot expect perfect translation. Meanwhile, collaboration environments require the interactivity of translators so that users can share the degree of understanding. By establishing a new evaluation criterion, interactivity, we can create a new approach to intercultural collaboration, where AI and CSCW meet.
