Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By gathering the time and positioning data measured by PHS (Personal Handy-phone System), mobile phone with GPS (Global Positioning System) and other sensoring devices, various location services are becoming popular. In this paper, in order to analyze the characteristics of traffic flows based on advanced database technologies, we propose OLAP oriented spatial information model. We also discuss advanced data structures and spatial indices for the traffic planning by extending the typical data mining and data cube techniques.
