Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | 4 GB Microdrive, a high capacity, low cost, and compact storage device, has been developed and shipped for consumer product manufacturers. Utilization of most advanced technologies including femto GMR slider & HGA, textured AFC disk, FDB motor, allows 4 times higher storage capacity, 70 % higher data rate and better shock robustness over previous generation Microdrives. Subsequently, samples of embedded Microdrive, minor change model from 4GB CF Microdrive are being shipped. We will continue to meet our customers demand for higher capacity and lower cost. |
