Error Characteristics of Iterative Decoding in Burst Noise

Abstract(in English) I evaluate an error characteristics of an iterative decoding in burst noise. I construct a software channel of iterative decoder concatenated partial response channel and low-density parity check (LDPC) code/recursive systematic convolutional (RSC) code, serially. The LDPC coded iterative decoding widely spreads the errors for long burst noise. Therefore an error correction code (ECC) hardly improve error rate performance. In the other hand, the RSC coded iterative decoding don't spread the errors. Therefore a error correction code is effective.
