Influence of Master Medium Structure on Magnetic Contact Duplication Performance

Abstract(in English) The duplication performance was clarified for lithographically patterned master media with magnetic films at the dent parts. For master media with a pattern width L of 2.5 μm, the magnetization duplicated by using the master medium without magnetic films at the dent parts is reversed at transitions and is almost uniform between transitions, while the magnetization duplicated by using the master medium with magnetic films at 0.5 μm-deep dent parts is not only reversed at transitions but also changes between transitions. For master media with L of 0.4 and 0.1 μm, if the depth of the dent is 0.2 and 0.1μm, respectively, magnetic films at the dent parts have no influence on the duplication performance.
