Abstract(in English) We investigated the dependence of SNR and thermal decay of perpendicular media on a inter-granular exchange stiffness. As a result, perpendicular media with exchange stiffness of 0.1×10^<-6> erg/cm showed a small thermal decay and highest SNR. It was also found that the index of thermal stability is good parameter of thermal decay characteristics when the magnetic cluster volume is considered as the effective volume.
